2 months!

I am two months old today! Yesterday I had my two month check up, and Dr. Wynalda said I am "just about perfect!" I really like him! He said I am right on track as far as growth goes, I weigh 10 pounds 2.5 oz, and I am 22 inches long! So I have gained 4 pounds, 4 inches since I was first born! He said that puts me in the 50th percentile. When he talked to me, I talked back. I have always been able to communicate-- through cries-- but now I am learning to speak! I use my tongue and lips to make sounds like "oooh and ahh, and hum." I am smiling a lot now too! There is a lot to smile about, I really love life.

Did you know that I already went on my first airplane ride? Mommy says that is really good and says that there are some adults who are afraid to fly. Not me! I was as happy as can be. I just sat in mommy's sling and I didn't cry once! There was a two year old girl-- much bigger than me-- and she was very afraid of the airplane. I wish I could have talked to her and told her that it was all going to be okay! Mommy assurred me that I was very safe and talked to me about how my ears might feel when we were first taking off. She told me I better use my "paci" and so I listened. The best part about the airplane ride was landing. I was soo exited to see my daddy. He was waiting for us and he was sooo happy to see me! Other than mom-- I am his favorite girl.

Mommy and I visited g-ma and g-dad and Uncle's Andrew, Alex and Josh in Omaha this month. We had a really good time, I really love everyone there so much and wish I could see them more often! I also had my pictures taken. I wasnt feeling up to it, and was a little concerned about being naked-- but mommy says she can never have enough pictures of me-- so I went along with it for her sake. I overheard mommy talking to Emily today about getting MORE pictures taken! Golly, what is she going to do with all of these anyway? Next time I hope to be able to wear pink. Pink is my favorite color now. I love everything about it. I also love sitting up (with the help of mommy and daddy) and I love to learn about new things. Mommy and daddy walk me around the house and tell me the names of things. I hope to be able to use real words soon.

This weekend should be really fun. I just recently saw Aunt Mallory and was able to talk to Danica a little. She is my new cousin who hasn't been born yet. She isn't ready to come out yet, and I understand that. I sure am excited to see her though! I think I might get to see her again this weekend with Uncle Greg and my cousin Jaden. And tomorrow I get to see Lindsay and Ryan after church! I really like them. I am the smallest baby Ryan has ever held! That is pretty special. It is also my Grandpa Taber's birthday on Memorial Day, so I should be able to see him too! As for now, I am going to go hang out on my pink Boppy pillow. I'll write more soon!

At 6 weeks I am wearing my first pair of jeans!

Soo big!

Daddy sent mommy and me a video on mommy's phone. It was so good to hear his voice! I am feeling a bit better today tummy wise. I got a really good nights rest, I went to bed around 12:30 and I didn't wake up until 5:45am! Usually mommy would hold me in a craddle position in her arms, but lately I really like sitting up like a big girl so I can see everything going on. Mommy holds my head but it still makes me feel like I am getting soo big! I am also trying to communicate my thoughts more, I can't quite make the words out but I really like to make sounds. Everyone gets so excited to talk to me!

I am all ready for the day, I feel so fresh and clean because mommy used my new Cucumber Melon baby body wash! Its such a nice scent for spring. I am wearing my first pair of jeans today, at 6 weeks old. Uncle Alex really thinks I look cute in them. Uncle Andrew and Uncle Josh will see me a little later, so I am excited to show them my big girl outfit.

Hello Daddy from Omaha!

Hi Daddy, do you miss me? I really really miss you! I didn't get to talk to you on the phone last night because I was asleep. We made it to Omaha safe and sound. The drive didn't really bother me until the end. My tummy was feeling sick and it was hard to sit still in the carseat because I just wanted to be held!

Today I am not feeling much better, I miss you and also my tummy still hurts! Mommy called the doctor and he said that I needed to go back on soy. I know I will feel better soon, but so far, I just feel the same. Do you know how it feels to have a sick tummy? I am still in my pj's but Ill send some pictures soon so you can see me.
